July 5, 2020 Fifth Sunday After Pentecost
Hi Everyone,
As we begin July, we keep looking at the psalms as they help us better understand God and how we are to live as God’s people.
Bronwen has send another part to the mobile to help us remember what the psalms teach us. If you haven’t started your mobile don’t worry there is a link to take you to the frame and the first two crafts.
There is also word search below that has some of the words and phrases from this week’s psalm. See if you can find all the words and as you do don’t be afraid to talk about forgiveness and mercy!
At the bottom is a link to last week’s Children’s Worship Page and a link to more activities which our storytellers and doorkeepers have offered as ways to help in these long days.
Take Care and Stay Well,
Rev. Peter
CHILDREN’S TIME FOR
THIS SUNDAY
This week we’re looking at Psalm 145:8-14
and our highlighted verse is verse 145:9
The LORD is good to all, and his compassion is over all that he has made.
This week we’re going to continue adding to our mobile that represents ways that God responds to us and the ways that we respond to God. Each of the pieces of the mobile reminds us of a Psalm. By the end of the summer you will have a very special creation to hang in your house, or to give to someone you love, to help us all reflect on our relationship with God.
Constructing the Mobile
If you’ve already started your mobile and added your crafts to the mobile skip to the next section for the craft for this week.
If you haven’t constructed the mobile or crafts have a look at this page for instructions

Our Third Craft for the Mobile: God is Merciful
Reflecting on the Psalm 145, we are reminded of God’s mercy on us all: The Lord is good to all, and his compassion is over all that he has made.
Using glue or a flour paste to create a paper mache ball (this is a good how-to video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKZ_HVNFMmg), create a large bead. Paint or colour the bead to look like the earth. This reminds us of how far reaching God’s mercy is, that it touches us all in God’s creation. Now, attach the bead to the third long string of your mobile.
