CHILDREN’S WORSHIP 0719

July 19, 2020 Seventh Sunday After Pentecost

Hi Everyone,

I hope you have all had a great week! This Sunday we’re continuing to look at the Psalms and what they teach us about God.

We’re going to add another craft to our mobile and I’m not sure about you but I think it is exciting seeing it fill up each week! Bronwen has send another part and if you haven’t started your mobile don’t worry there are links to show how to make the frame and the earlier crafts.

As in previous weeks, I’ve also included a word search that has some of the words and phrases from this week’s psalm. They’re a lot of fun if you have never done one before!

At the bottom is a link to last week’s Children’s Worship Page and a link to more activities which our storytellers and doorkeepers have offered as ways to help in these long days.

Take Care and Stay Well,

CHILDREN’S TIME FOR

THIS SUNDAY

This week we’re looking at Psalm 139:1-12, 23-24

and our highlighted verse is verse 139:1

O LORD, you have searched me and known me.

This week we’re adding another part to our mobile that represents ways that God responds to us and the ways that we respond to God.  Each of the pieces of the mobile reminds us of a Psalm we’ve talked about this summer.  By September you will have a very special creation to hang in your house, or to give to someone you love, to help us all think on our relationship with God.

Constructing the Mobile
If you’ve already started your mobile and added your crafts to the mobile skip to the next section for the craft for this week. If you haven’t constructed the mobile or crafts have a look at this page for instructions

Our Fifth Craft for the MobileGod Knows Us

This week create a picture or model of the YOU who God knows.  You can be as creative as you like; you can draw a picture, make a portrait out of cardboard, or even create a tinfoil mirror that reflects your image, however you think you would be best represented.  On the back you can think about what God sees inside of you and draw or paint it there. Here are some examples of self portraits that we created.

Like Word Searches?

Here is a word search with some of the key words from our psalm this week…can you find them all?
