CHILDREN’S WORSHIP 0802

August 2, 2020 Ninth Sunday After Pentecost

Hi Everyone,

As August begins, we’re continuing to talk about the psalms and what they teach us about God. We’re going to add another craft to our mobile this week. Don’t worry if you have missed a week of haven’t started yet because there are links below to show how to make the frame and the earlier crafts.

As I did through July, I’ve also included a word search that has some of the words from this week’s psalm. See if you can find them all!

At the bottom is a link to last week’s Children’s Worship Page and a link to more activities which our storytellers and doorkeepers have offered as ways to help in these long days.

Take Care and Stay Well,

Rev. Peter

CHILDREN’S TIME FOR

THIS SUNDAY

This week we’re looking at Psalm 145:8-9, 14-21

and our highlighted verse is verse 145:8

The LORD is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love

This week we’re adding another part to our mobile that represents ways that God responds to us and the ways that we respond to God.  Each of the pieces of the mobile reminds us of a Psalm we’ve talked about this summer.  By September you will have a very special creation to hang in your house, or to give to someone you love, to help us all think on our relationship with God.

Constructing the Mobile
If you’ve already started your mobile and added your crafts to the mobile skip to the next section for the craft for this week. If you haven’t constructed the mobile or crafts have a look at this page for instructions

Our Seventh Craft for the Mobile:  God Loves

In whatever way you like, using whatever craft supplies you might have on hand, create a heart to remind us that God loves. You can find God’s love within your own heart. For our heart this week, we cut up a red napkin and glued the pieces to a heart shape. Then we tied it to the next long string of our mobile.
