UPCOMING AT ST. JAMES
Saturday, July 13th The Orpah Unit will host a Highland Brunch, in the hall from 9:30-11:30 am. Homemade pancakes, blueberry sauce, muffins, local maple syrup, local sausages, Fair Trade coffee, tea and juice will be served. Adults: $8; Children: $4; Toddlers Free. Members of the congregation are asked to contribute a dozen muffins (please label muffins as to what kind they are) which can be dropped off after church on Sunday, July 6, Tuesday July 9t during the day or the afternoon on Friday July 12. Thank you for your help in making this event a success!

The Clan Thompson Pipe Band and Friends Returns for Fourth Year. The Clan Thompson Pipe Band, under the direction of Pipe Major Scott Williams and Lead Drummer Judy Smith, both of Antigonish, will return to St. James United Church on Sunday, July 7th with an all star cast of performers featuring Emery Van de Wiel on Flute and vocals, Martha Palmer on Accordion and vocals, Fiddler Karen Beaton accompanied by Leona Williams on piano, Trumpet and Flute by Luke and Mary Henderson, Organist Sandra Johnson, a Scottish Small Pipes Ensemble, dancers from the Smith School of Highland Dance, and featuring in his debut solo performance, piper Oakley MacLean of St. Andrews. The M.C. will b Jack Langlois, Stellarton’s Town Crier. The concert will start at 2:30 PM. Admission is $10 and $5 for Seniors and children under 12. All proceeds will be directed to the St. James Music Bursary Fund.
