Children’s Corner for June 13, 2021

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are enjoying the wonderful weather and are finding lots of ways to get outside. The children’s story this week is found within the larger worship service which is found on the main page starting at 7:36. (You can click here to start the video at the children’s time).

Today we are talking about two of the stories (parables) which Jesus told about seeds. The first talks about how plants grow and produce wonderful things and the second reminds us that small seeds grow into something large and useful.

So this week there is a craft which reminds us that whenever we do something in faith, God makes it blossom like a seed and become something greater.

Seeds of Faith Craft

  1. Get a sheet of paper.
  2. Think of some things which Jesus asks us to do in our lives. Draw them as seeds under the ground.
  3. Then think of what those things can grow into. For example kindness can make someone happy, prayer can comfort someone.
  4. Draw leaves or flowers on the plant you are drawing and put the things the seeds become into the petals or the leaves.
  5. If you want you can include birds and small animals in the drawing as well. Remember that when we act in faith then God makes great things happen not just for the people we care for but for us and the world as well!

Take Care and Stay Well,

Rev. Peter
