July 26, 2020 Seventh Sunday After Pentecost

Hi Everyone,

Wow we’re in the last week of July! I hope you are having a great summer so far and have been enjoying making your craft.

We’re going to add another craft to our mobile as we continue to look at the psalms. Don’t worry if you have missed a week of haven’t started yet because there are links below to show how to make the frame and the earlier crafts.

I’ve also included a word search that has some of the words and phrases from this week’s psalm. Can you find all the words and do you know what they mean?

At the bottom is a link to last week’s Children’s Worship Page and a link to more activities which our storytellers and doorkeepers have offered as ways to help in these long days.

Take Care and Stay Well,

Rev. Peter

This week we’re looking at Psalm 119:129-136

and our highlighted verse is verse 119:132

Turn to me and be gracious to me, as is your custom toward those who love your name

This week we’re adding another part to our mobile that represents ways that God responds to us and the ways that we respond to God.  Each of the pieces of the mobile reminds us of a Psalm we’ve talked about this summer.  By September you will have a very special creation to hang in your house, or to give to someone you love, to help us all think on our relationship with God.

Constructing the Mobile
If you’ve already started your mobile and added your crafts to the mobile skip to the next section for the craft for this week. If you haven’t constructed the mobile or crafts have a look at this page for instructions

Our Sixth Craft for the Mobile:  God is Faithful

When you pick up a rock and then let it go, you can easily predict what will happen; the rock will fall.  The rock falls because of the force of gravity.

In the same way that gravity is reliable, God is trustworthy and faithful.  We always know that gravity will be present and that the rock will fall and we always know that God will be present and that we will be comforted and cared for.  This week, find a rock and paint it.  Adding the rock to the next long string of your mobile will be a reminder that God is Faithful!
