Your Social Justice Collective asks you to note the 9th – the
International Day of the World’s Indigenous People. The theme is
“Indigenous Peoples’ right to self- determination: a pathway for food
security and sovereignty”. This theme emphasizes the importance of
indigenous communities’ control over their lands and resources, traditional
agricultural practices, and the recognition of Indigenous knowledge
systems for addressing global challenges like hunger and climate change.
