Links for December 21, 2025
The prayers and Christian Sympathy of the Congregation are extended to the family and friends of Stacy (Partidge) Thompson-Small whose funeral was yesterday at St. James. Please keep her partner Shane and children, parents, and extended family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
The prayers and Christian sympathy of the congregation are also extended to the family and friends of Sarah Stouffer who died last week. Sarah was Director of Christian Education for many years. Please keep Allen and all of the family in your prayers during this time.
The end of the year is fast approaching. The last day for donations of cheques and cash St. James to be credited for your 2025 tax receipt is December 30, 2025 (the secure drop slot is available when the office is closed). Donations via eft (eft@stjamesuc.com) or online (www.stjamesuc.com) can be made at anytime day or night.
Canada Helps – Looking for a copy of a tax receipt for a donation you made to St. James through Canada Helps in 2025? We don’t issue those from the church but go to https://www.canadahelps.org/en/tax-receipts/ and they will email you a duplicate.
Gifts with Vision Our Congregation has multiple copies of Gifts with Vision: A Gift-Giving Catalogue from the United Church of Canada. The United Church developed the gift catalogue in response to member requests to be able to give gifts that support the church’s Mission and Service partners. Gifts are available in a range of dollar amounts and include projects here in Canada and around the world. An online copy of the gift catalogue can be found at http://www.giftswithvision.ca
