The Social Justice Collective asks you to note that the 21st is the International Day of Prayer for Peace. This year’s theme is: “Invest in Peace – For Everyone, Everywhere, Every Day.”This theme honours everyday architects of peace who drive local action and stability from the ground up. Its core message is that peace is built in classrooms, neighbourhoods, and daily life– not just in conference rooms.

From August 12 to 15, 2026, more than 500 youth, young adults, leaders, volunteers, and global partners gathered at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario, for Collective 2026: (Em)brace for Impact, a national youth gathering hosted by The United Church of Canada and The Presbyterian Church in Canada. The theme (Em)brace for Impact invited youth to embrace one another, embrace their communities, and embrace the opportunities and challenges of our time with courage and hope..For more information as well as a video highlights please go to https://united-church.ca/blogs/round-table/until-we-meet-again-highlights-collective-2026
