On 8 March 2025, join us to celebrate International Women’s Day under the theme, “For ALL women and girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.”This year’s theme calls for action that can unlock equal rights, power and opportunities for all and a feminist future where no one is left behind. Central to this vision is empowering the next generation – youth, particularly young women and adolescent girls – as catalysts for lasting change.

There will be a screening of the movie “A Human Picture’ that highlights the Ontario Basic Income pilot and the results, along with a question-and-answer session at the Antigonish Library on March 6th. This event is being offered in partnership with the Library, Antigonish Coalition to End Poverty and the Martha Justice Centre. Both Mandy K Raining Bird and Pierre Stevens from Basic Income NS will be in attendance. Come out and learn why this is such an important issue!
